8:00pm Newcomers Class – M’Lady Kassandra Sousiades New to the SCA? Taken a break for a while and rejoining us? Take this class as a way to better understand how the SCA on a corporate level works. Also learn about the operations of the “game” aspect and what all of the shiny things are on people’s heads are, as well as some general guidelines in regards to courtesies and apparel.

Diapering and Decorative Designs – Lady Ciar ingen Ui Meic Thire – A hands-on introduction to focuses on creating diaper work in the scribal arts. These repetitive patterns appear in countless illuminated manuscripts and add color and pizzazz to the background. This class is appropriate for all scribal levels. Students are encouraged to bring basic scribal supplies (i.e. gouache, paint brushes, pencil, ruler, bristol paper, etc.); otherwise, supplies will be provided to those for those who need them.
You Too Can Bard – Lord Jean-Etienne Du Norodvest Learn some of tricks of the trade and some of the history of being a bard in period. Learn firsthand how ANYONE can be an minstrel even though they might not know it yet.

Western European Holy Relics in the Middle Ages – Honourable Lord Dmitri Skomorochov - Listen as HL Dmitri explains the significance of Christian relics in western European society, what people believed about them, where they came from, and how they moved from place to place.
YOUTH EVENT Pumpkin and Gourd Painting – Honourable Lady Mira De Medici, Lady Dagný Róbertsdóttir, and Drottinn Lundvarr Dufgalsson. Come join us and create decorations to ward of any decorations that may be haunting Wyvernwoode Abby so we don’t have any unexpected guests at feast.

Iron Bard Competition – Honourable Lord Garcia Lopez de Mauleon, and Lord Jean-Etienne du Norodvest Come Test your wit and bardic prowess in this new format sure to entertain all in attendance. Any populace wishing to attend in a viewing capacity should arrive around 1:30

4:00pm Written works - or what's a poet to do? – Lord Miyamoto Toramasu Come join us for a discussion of the art-sci category: written works and the submission process. We will talk about formatting, research, how to fill out the forms and if time allows an open discussion of the expectation of written works.. Handouts will be provided on research sites, documentation layouts, and other recommendations.
