Open Range: Come have fun!
Art/Sci Activities
BRING YOUR OWN SKELETON! (BYOS!)
The Catacomb Saints were a pretty grim corner of Late and Ultra Late SCA period, but they provide a fascinating and fun chance at trying your hand at some fun decoration for the hall. No competition, just some macabre whimsy, if you will. While this may have a religious background, feel free to decorate them however you wish! Maybe look into grave goods from ancient burials?
Classes
Mask-making Station
Reliquary (or Jewelry) Box-making Station
Art Sci Champion
Bring your projects to display in Wyvernwoode's Baronial ArtSci Champion competition, the winner of which will be decided by standard "bead in a cup" populace vote. Bring your best- we can't wait to see what wonderful things you've been up to! Anyone is welcome to enter.
"Undead" ArtSci display
Bring out your "Undead" projects for an all-day open display and resurrect them with the help of other artisans. Started some research, hit a roadblock, and tossed it aside on perpetual hiatus? Started painting something, then lost interest? Bring it out of the back of your closet and into the light! This is a great opportunity to share and discuss research, knowledge, and projects with others. Maybe someone would love to pick up and finish an an embroidery piece you started. Maybe someone's current project on soapmaking could really benefit from the research you did on tallow processing. Maybe someone has a piece of advice that'll finally get you over a roadblock in the tricky part of a gown you were trying to make. Give these projects a chance at a second life!
The Monster Bash Ball
The graveyard smash event of the season
Come do the Monster Mash at the Monster Bash Ball, and enjoy an evening's entertainment filled with dancing, gaming and more! This will be a teaching ball so no experience necessary.
